Springfield Regional Sports Center, March 28, 2010

The Elite (G-Shock & Jonas Albert Robinson) d. Patrick Large & Mr. USA 2

Patrick Large was looking to get even with G-Shock and Robinson after the previous week in Portland, when outside interference cost him the WCWC Lightning Division Championship. But with partner Chuck Payne still on the shelf, Large chose Mr. USA 2 as his temporary replacement. The lack of team chemistry showed in this match, as G-Shock and Robinson took turns beating and berating Large, who promised earlier in the night that he would win the Double Threat Rumble and challenge for the title once again. Large was able to tag out before further damage could be done, but the Elite were quick to wear down a fresh Mr. USA 2 with a devastating double-team maneuver, a top rope double-stomp into a DDT. The Lightning Division Champ then followed it up with a Shocksault, but amazingly, Mr. USA 2 was able to kick out after being hit by two big moves. G-Shock knocked Patrick Large off the apron as Robinson rolled the patriotic wrestler up and grabbed a handful of tights to pick up the win!

Dr. Kliever d. Quiz

In his first singles match in the WCWC, Quiz was going to have his work cut out for him in a match against Dr. Kliever, who only one week prior injured Mike Santiago’s arm in Portland. The Good Doctor of the WCWC used his size and strength to wear his opponent down, but the ultra-fast Quiz was able to use his speed to run circles around his larger adversary, and even surprised the audience with his ability to knock Kliever off his feet during the match! The man known as “HBQ” tried to pull an “HBK” with a top rope elbow drop, but Kliever was able to get out of the way. Kliever then followed up with a low-blow (unseen by the referee) and a roll-up with his feet on the ropes. Quiz was visibly upset with how the match ended, and made it appear that he wasn’t done chasing after Kliever yet.

Draven Vargas d. Erik Baeden via disqualification

One week removed from one of the biggest matches of his career, Draven Vargas was shaking off his close loss to WCWC Champion Ryan Taylor and looked to score a victory against another member of the Faction, Erik Baeden. Baeden, who was accompanied by fellow Tag Team Champion Dustin Snyder and General Manager JT Allen, was intent on further demoralizing the would-be Cinderella story and convincing Vargas to stay away from Faction business. Despite Baeden’s efforts, however, Vargas had the momentum and the fans on his side, and looked to have everything going his way. Just when Vargas looked to have things well in hand, though, JT Allen got on the apron to distract Vargas and the referee, while Snyder handed his partner one of their Tag Team Championship belts. Baeden clocked Vargas right in the face with the title belt, but was unable to get rid of the evidence before the referee turned around to see what happened! Referee Eric Right disqualified Baeden and awarded Vargas the match, but Shoot 2 Kill wasn’t done with the fan-favorite just yet. Baeden attempted to put Vargas out for good with the Mercy Kill, but Vargas countered out of it and nailed his opponent with the THC as payback!

“Gentleman” George Michael d. Latino Blanco

The former 8-time WCWC Heavyweight Champion has made it known that he can’t stand the fans chanting “Deport George” and wearing t-shirts that bear the same message. So it couldn’t have been easy to concentrate on his match with one of the masters of mind games, Latino Blanco. Though Blanco was able to put up a fight and get in his opponent’s head, Michael would have none of the tomfoolery. After successfully hitting two monkey flips, Blanco was looking to go for the hat trick, but a well-placed boot to the face ended those dreams, and was enough for “Gentleman” George to put him down for three. But despite winning the match, Michael was not done with his opponent. The devious Englishman savagely attacked Blanco with a steel chair, sending a message to all the fans and other wrestlers who try and mock him. Following the unnecessary post-match beating, WCWC Co-Owner Jeff Manning said that he would find a suitable punishment for Michael, but that he was going to let that looming threat simmer for a while before making any final decisions.

Dustin Snyder d. “The UnderStoner”

After a bittersweet match involving Erik Baeden earlier in the night, the other half of the WCWC Tag Team Champions was set to take on Stoney McMoverson, who chose to parody an “Undead” wrestling legend on this particular night! Though many of the fans were admiring Stoney’s attention to detail in his parody of the legendary grappler, Dustin Snyder was here to take care of business. Although he was rattled after a devastating chokeslam, Snyder recovered by knocking Stoney off-balance while attempting “Old School,” then hitting him with a Moonlight Bomb to claim another victory for the Faction!

Patrick Large won the Double Threat Rumble Match

The winner of this contest would earn the right to challenge for any WCWC Championship, any time and anywhere, and you’d better believe that all 13 men involved wanted a shot at the gold. But with each man only holding an 8% chance of victory, it was going to take a lot of work. This contest saw many interesting moments, including a continuation of the battle between Quiz and Dr. Kliever, the WCWC return of Nate “The Great” Andrews, and The Elite working to make sure that one of them came out the winner of the rumble. After Quiz and G-Shock eliminated each other simultaneously, it all came down to Jonas Albert Robinson and Patrick Large. Just when it looked as though G-Shock’s protégé had thrown the would-be title contender out of the ring, Large was barely able to hold on, then eliminate Robinson himself, making one half of Paynefully Large the winner! Fulfilling the promise he made earlier in the evening, Large declared that he wanted to face G-Shock for the Lightning Division Championship one more time, right then and there!

WCWC Lightning Division Championship Match: Patrick Large d. G-Shock (Champion) to become the new Champion

This match ended almost as quickly as it began. As people were still wondering if the match was really going to take place immediately following the previous match, the bell rang and a weary Patrick Large lunged at G-Shock and rolled him up for the three-count! The crowd—and especially the now-former Champion—could not believe what had just transpired, as Patrick Large became the new WCWC Lightning Division Champion! Chuck Payne came out to congratulate his partner, as the nearly-one-year reign of G-Shock had come to a shocking and dramatic end and the era of Patrick Large had now begun!

Portland Oregon Kliever Armory, March 20, 2010

WCWC Lightning Division Championship Match: Patrick Large d. G-Shock (Champion) via Disqualification; G-Shock remains Champion

The popular young wrestler Patrick Large was determined to take the Lightning Division Championship at the Kliever National Guard Armory on this night, but he was going to have his hands full, taking on a champion who has not only held the belt for nearly one full year, but who also had some “moral support” from teammate Jonas Albert Robinson at ringside. Despite the odds seemingly against him, Large had the fans on his side, able to withstand G-Shock’s potent offense. Just when the Champion looked to have things sealed up, G-Shock missed the Shocksault, which gave Large the opportunity to hit his opponent with the Code Red! Just when it looked like we would have a new Lightning Division Champion though, Robinson climbed into the ring and broke up the pinfall, which led to his mentor’s disqualification! The decision didn’t seem to bother the Elite too much, however, who took pleasure in giving Large an after-bell beating.

Jay Maddix & “Flawless” Kellen Raeth d. Quiz & Latino Blanco

The crowd was hot for the newcomer Quiz, who was making his first appearance in a WCWC ring. With partner Latino Blanco at his side, he was looking to make an immediate impact against the team of Kellen Raeth and Jay Maddix. But despite a good showing by the young newcomer, the teamwork of Maddix and Raeth was what ultimately did Quiz and Blanco in. After Blanco crashed down onto Maddix with a top rope splash, Raeth nailed the masked wrestler with a cheap low-blow while a groggy Maddix clung to the referee, claiming to need assistance. While the referee was distracted, Raeth finished off Blanco with a devastating knee to the face, and then threw his partner on top of the fallen Blanco to score the decisive pinfall.

Exile d. Jonas Albert Robinson

Though looking extremely cocky from the moment he walked through the curtain, everyone in the crowd could sense a hint of anxiety from Jonas Albert Robinson as he prepared to take on The Man They Call Exile. Robinson faced his anxiety by attempting to jump Exile before the bell rang, but the big man brushed off the early attack and proceeded to throw the self-proclaimed favorite student of Lance Storm around like a rag-doll! After getting an opportunity, though, Robinson managed to recover and go after the big man’s knee. But when it came right down to it, Jonas was unable to keep his opponent down for long. Exile used his brute strength to suplex Robinson halfway across the ring, and then brought him down with an explosive powerbomb to secure his victory!

Mike Santiago d. Dr. Kliever via Disqualification

In this battle of “David vs. Goliath,” former WCWC Lightning Division Champion Mike Santiago would have a tall order ahead of him (literally and figuratively) against former WCWC Champion Dr. Kliever. Right from the start, Kliever used his size and strength to try and gain an early advantage, while, the lithe Santiago used his speed and quickness to maneuver around Kliever’s offense and get under the Good Doctor’s skin. Kliever eventually found a weakness in Santiago’s arm, which he spent much of the match exploiting and attacking with surgical precision. But even through the pain, Santiago kept finding ways to stay in the match and keep his hopes of winning alive. At one point, Santiago was able to reverse an Autopsy attempt and counter it into the Crippler Crossface! Kliever would eventually grab onto the ropes and get the hold broken, and then countered Santiago’s Roaring Elbow and turned it into a Fujiwara Armbar! Though Santiago let go of his hold when Kliever grabbed a rope, the Doctor would not grant his opponent the same courtesy, as he refused to let go of the hold after the referee ordered him to. This led the referee to disqualify the former Heavyweight Champion and award the match to Santiago.

WCWC Tag Team Championship Match: Shoot 2 Kill (Champions) d. Los Arizonans

In a rematch from the Tag Team Championship Tournament in January, the newly-crowned Champions Shoot 2 Kill took on the pair of masked wrestlers from south of the border, Los Arizonans. El Phoenix and El Tucson came out swinging in this contest and did everything they could do to get inside the heads of the Champions, including performing a Mexican hat dance around the body of Dustin Snyder before dropping dual elbows! While the crowd enjoyed that move, the Champions were left fuming at the antics. Snyder and Erik Baeden responded to their opponents by doling out fierce strikes and painful submission holds throughout the contest, but the challengers fought through it all in their efforts to become the new Tag Team Champs. Just when it looked as though Los Arizonans had it won with a Peyote Drop onto Snyder by El Tucson however, Baeden managed to hit Tucson with a low-blow, then followed it up with the Mercy Kill to retain the titles!

WCWC Championship Match: Ryan Taylor (Champion) d. Draven Vargas

Fresh off of his suspension after assaulting Jeff Manning, Ryan Taylor came out and said that he was supposed to take on Bolo for the title, but since Bolo appeared to be M.I.A,, Taylor and General Manager JT Allen demanded that the referee start the match and count Bolo out to ensure another win for the Faction. But before the count could be completed, Bolo did indeed emerge from the back. Unfortunately, he looked to be in no shape to compete, still in his street clothes and wearing a neck brace! Bolo said that while he would be unable to compete on this night, he handed over his #1 contendership to a man he called one of his best friends, Draven Vargas! The entire audience was strongly behind Vargas, who was having his first-ever shot at the Heavyweight Championship. Despite never taking on someone for the gold, Vargas showed true heart and determination and nearly had the title won several times throughout the match! But just when Vargas looked to put his opponent away with a middle rope splash, Taylor was able to barely get out of the way in time! Moments later, Taylor would knock the perennial fan favorite down and lock in the Sharpshooter! After a few moments of fighting, Draven had no choice but to tap out.

“Gentleman” George Michael d. Brandon Gatson in a Steel Cage Match

It was now time for a match that the fans had been looking forward to all night, as Brandon Gatson looked to finally settle the score and defeat “Gentleman” George inside the steel cage! Both men went at each other with full force from the opening bell, each man determined to keep the other down just long enough to escape the cage. The devious Englishman reached into his bag of dirty tricks early on in the contest, as he brought in not only his trademark foreign object, but also a pair of brass knucks and a steel chain! With one swift chain-laden punch, Michael bloodied his opponent, then attacked the laceration for good measure! But Gatson, fired up at the sight of his own blood, came back like a man possessed and returned the favor, bloodying Michael with a shot to the head with the brass knucks! With both men bloodied and beaten, Gatson looked like he had just enough to put his opponent away. But when he hit “Gentleman” George with a superkick, the momentum sent Michael straight through the cage door, making him the winner of the match! After the fluke victory, the rest of the Faction entered the ring and began to beat on the already-weakened Gatson. But the fan favorite managed to fight off Shoot 2 Kill, Ryan Taylor and JT Allen and chase them all out of the cage! As JT Allen tried to make his way out of the cage door though, Gatson grabbed a hold of JT’s pants and ripped them off, leaving the General Manager in a humiliating position! The Faction may have won on this night, but it was Gatson sitting on the top of the cage, Allen’s pants held high, who had the last laugh on this night!

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament Match, Round Two: Bolo & Mike Santiago d. The Elite (G-Shock & Jonas Albert Robinson)

The evening kicked off with an interesting twist, as the scheduled match between Bolo & Santiago and the rockNES Monsters never actually took place. WCWC Co-Owner Jeff Manning declared that since the team failed to appear, the team they beat, WCWC Lightning Division Champion G-Shock and Jonas Albert Robinson, would be filling in. It was a highly competitive encounter for both teams, with one of them being given a second chance to make it to the finals. Robinson, the self-proclaimed “Favorite Wrestler” of the audience, had Bolo on his shoulders as his partner went to the top rope to finish the job. But the former WCWC Champ was able to slide off Robinson's shoulders and push the top rope, causing G-Shock to fall! With the double-team attempt thwarted, Bolo finished off Robinson with a Korean Drop and scored the victory for his team! But before Bolo and Santiago could celebrate their trip to the tournament finals, their opponents for later in the evening, Shoot 2 Kill, ran into the ring and broke up the party! The Faction members put a beating on their future opponents and left the ring, but not before seriously injuring Santiago's knee and jeopardizing his participation in the tournament finals!

Jay Maddix d. Latino Blanco

The cocky young Maddix was going to have his hands full against the feisty fan favorite, Latino Blanco! Though Blanco had Beanie Babies to pass out to some of the younger fans, Maddix planned on only passing out a beating to his opponent. Maddix used his speed and agility to try and wear down his opponent, while Blanco used his experience to get in the head of his opponent and gain an advantage. Blanco looked to have the match well in hand as he ascended to the top turnbuckle, but a wily Maddix kicked the top rope, which sent the popular masked wrestler to crumble to the ground. Back in control, Maddix picked Blanco back up, and knocked him down for good with the Switchblade Kiss to win the match.

“Flawless” Kellen Raeth d. Draven Vargas

After defeating Jay Maddix last month, Draven Vargas was on the receiving end of a post-match beatdown courtesy of Maddix's partner, Kellen Raeth. On this night, Vargas would attempt to get some payback against “The Flawless One,” but would still have to worry about manager Brian Zane, who has proven to be a constant thorn in Draven's side. Though Raeth looked to be in better shape than his opponent, he didn't appear to have the same level of determination. Just as Vargas was beginning to mount a comeback with the help of his fans, Raeth decided to take the easier path and tried to get counted out. Vargas would have none of it, however, as he got out of the ring and chased Raeth around! As Vargas tried to get back into the ring after his opponent, though, Zane attempted to distract him by grabbing onto his ankle! Draven's momentary loss of focus was all that Raeth needed, as he delivered a hard knee to Vargas' face, knocking him down long enough to score a tainted three-count.

Patrick Large d. Dave Flex via disqualification

Following last month's loss to Dave Flex via outside interference, Patrick Large demanded that he face him once again! Large wouldn't have his partner, Chuck Payne, backing him up on this night however, as Payne sat at ringside nursing an injury that he suffered earlier in the month. Despite not having his partner at ringside, Large came out as intense and focused as he's ever been, taking the fight to Flex right at the opening bell, and even deflecting some attempts at cheating by Brian Zane! Just as Large looked to have things won with the Code Red, however, Zane inserted himself into the match once again, jumping onto the apron to talk to the referee. But Large caught Zane in the act, grabbed him and threw him into the ring! Just as Large was looking to make Zane pay for his constant meddling, Flex crept up from behind to try and take Large out. But the fan favorite saw the attack coming and got out of the way, which caused Flex to lay out his own manager! The distraction allowed Large to nail another Code Red, but Flex was able to kick out of the big move! As Large reached over to pick Flex up, his opponent nailed Large with a blatant low blow, causing him to be disqualified! The result didn't seem to matter to either Flex or Zane, though, as both men took turns stomping on Large after the referee called for the bell!

Brandon Gatson d. “Gentleman” George Michael via count-out

The feud between Brandon Gatson and George Michael continued on this night in Springfield, and both men wanted to put the other away for good. “Gentleman” George – who had General Manager JT Allen at ringside – tried to employ his usual chicanery to gain an advantage, but Gatson was able to withstand the attacks and keep taking it to his rival. Gatson had George laid out with a vicious superkick and looked to come down from the top rope to finish the job, but JT Allen pulled the fellow Faction member out of the ring and out of harm's way. But instead of going back into the ring to try and win the match, Michael simply stayed out of the ring and walked to the back, getting intentionally counted out! Though Gatson won the match, he was by no means pleased with the outcome. Grabbing a microphone, Gatson expressed that he was tired of seeing George run away from a fight, so he challenged the Englishman to a type of match where running away wasn't an option...a Steel Cage match! The match has already been signed to take place at the Kliever National Guard Armory in Portland, Saturday March 20!

Exile d. Dr. Kliever

In a rematch from the summer of last year, these two big men squared off in the ring for a second time. Or rather, they squared off in the ring AFTER a huge brawl at the beginning of the match that almost led to the contest being thrown out entirely! After the referee was able to regain some level of control in the match, the two spent most of their time inside the ring, trading huge blows and slams throughout. But in the battle of these two in-ring bulls, something had to give, and it did when Exile picked Dr. Kliever up above his head and took him down with a devastating powerbomb to pick up the win!

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament, Final Round: Shoot 2 Kill d. Bolo & Mike Santiago in a two-out-of-three falls match to become the new WCWC Tag Team Champions

Going into the match, Bolo already had the deck stacked against him when it was announced that Mike Santiago's injury earlier in the night would prevent him from competing in the final round of the tournament, so it didn't help matters when Shoot 2 Kill jumped Bolo outside the ring before the first bell had even rung! The two Faction members spent a lot of time laying into Bolo on the outside before finally throwing him into the ring. Referee Dave Jackson finally called for the bell to officially begin the match, but it didn't take long for Shoot 2 Kill to take Bolo down with a double-team move and score the first fall of the match! It looked like it would already be all over for Bolo, who barely had the chance to catch his breath in-between the first fall and the beginning of the second fall. But somehow the former WCWC Champion was able to defend himself against the two pitbulls, and even looked like he could win the Tag Team Championships himself! But out of nowhere, his partner Santiago limped into the ring and re-entered the match! With the situation now a 2-on-2 affair once again, it looked like there would be some level of fairness for the rest of the match. But Dustin Snyder caught a crucial mistake by Santiago and caught him in a half-crab leg lock! With Erik Baeden keeping Bolo occupied, there was no help for Santiago, as he had no choice to tap out and give Shoot 2 Kill the second and deciding fall, which made them the new WCWC Tag Team Champions!

Springfield Regional Sports Center, January 24, 2010

Stoney Flair d. “Flawless” Kellen Raeth

Fans at the Regional Sports Center got a kick out of Stoney McMoverson on this night, as he brought back the robe and the iconic theme music and arrived as Stoney Flair! The only two people in the building who weren't amused by this, however, were Kellen Raeth and his manager, Brian Zane. “Flair” tried to please the crowd and antagonize Raeth from the start of the match by employing some of the Nature Boy's trademark taunts, but Raeth would have none of it, throwing some hard forearms into the face and back of his opponent. The “Nature Hippie” would not go down without a fight, however, lighting up Raeth's chest with knife-edge chops, the crowd shouting “WOOOO” after each one. Stoney even had Raeth wrapped up in the Figure-Four Leglock, but Zane was able to help his charge out by pushing on the bottom rope, making it easier for Raeth to grab onto it. The “Flawless One” eventually got back in control of the match and looked to give Stoney a taste of his own finisher, but the Hippie rolled Raeth up in the middle of the attempt and scored the upset!

Draven Vargas d. Jay Maddix

Kellen Raeth didn't have much time to recover from his loss, as he went out in the very next match to accompany his new tag team partner, Jay Maddix, to the ring. Draven Vargas now had to have eyes in the back of his head if he wanted to stay alive against this formidable new tandem. Though Maddix was undersized in this contest, he was able to keep pace with the big man with a flurry of quick strikes. Having Raeth at ringside didn't hurt him much either, as Raeth would deliver a cheap-shot to Vargas whenever the opportunity presented itself. Vargas was able to lift Maddix onto his shoulders to attempt the Death Valley Driver, but Maddix was quick to roll off of Vargas' shoulders. As the Indiana native attempted to deliver his trademark “Switchblade Kiss” to the head, Vargas ducked out of the way, then followed up with an Oklahoma Roll, which was enough to keep his opponent down for the three-count. But the team would not take this loss lightly, as they assaulted Vargas following the match and left him laying in the middle of the ring.

Jonas Albert Robinson d. Latino Blanco

The man who claims to be Lance Storm's favorite student made his return to singles action in Springfield, taking on fan-favorite Latino Blanco. Though Blanco made his entrance handing out stuffed animal toys to kids in the front row, Robinson's offense in the match was anything but soft and cuddly, as he put his Calgary education to good use. Blanco put up an impressive effort against the young spitfire, but he was mowed down by Jonas' new move, the “JARring Effect,” and was pinned for the three-count. Robinson was not done with the assault, however, as he then tried to unmask the crowd favorite in front of everyone! Before Robinson could complete the deed, Mr. USA 2 (the evening's guest bell-ringer) stormed into the ring to save Blanco from the embarrassment! Robinson and his partner G-Shock left the ring area, not wanting to get involved with the patriotic wrestler.

David Flex d. Patrick Large

Though he was still stinging from Kellen Raeth's loss to Stoney Flair earlier in the night, Brian Zane shook it off and unveiled his latest charge, David Flex! The man who weighs in at 175 lbs. of solid muscle was all fired up as he was set to take on Patrick Large, who was accompanied to the ring by his partner Chuck Payne. Though Flex was slightly shorter than Large, he showed that he was a much stronger adversary, thanks to countless hours spent at the gym. The man who exuded “Flex Appeal” did everything he could to wear his opponent down, including allowing his manager to illegally insert himself into the match. But Payne eventually had all he could take of Zane's shenanigans, pulling him down off the apron and attacking him. As the fans were delighted to see Zane get what was coming to him, Flex took advantage of the referee's distraction, spraying Large in the face with Zane's water bottle, then hitting him with the De-Flex to win the match!

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament Match, Round One: Bolo & Mike Santiago d. Tim Lovato & Brandon Parker

The final match of the first round of the tournament saw the former Champs, Bolo and Mike Santiago, taking on an exciting young tag team from California, Lovato and Parker. The team tried to get an early advantage against their more experienced opponents, as Parker tried to utilize his quick-striking ability, and Lovato went to the air to try and make up for his lack of size. But while the size of Parker and Lovato helped them move around their opponents quickly, it also made them more susceptible to getting tossed around. Even though the California team had the wily Jesse Hernandez in their corner, the former WCWC Tag Team Champions brushed it off and looked strong. The fate of the tournament was almost in jeopardy, though, after a brawl ensued outside the ring, which led to both teams getting counted out by the referee. As the fans were stunned at the outcome, Santiago grabbed the microphone and demanded five more minutes with their opponents. Referee and WCWC Co-Owner Jeff Manning agreed to it, and the former Champs were quick to act on the opportunity. The two quickly disposed of Parker, then nailed Lovato with a Tiger Driver/Neckbreaker combo to win the match and conclude the first round of the tournament!

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament Match, Round Two: Shoot 2 Kill d. Los Arizonans

As the first round of the tournament was wrapping up, the second round immediately got underway, as Shoot 2 Kill looked to continue their success by defeating El Phoenix and El Tucson. The two masked wrestlers scored a major upset in Portland the week before by defeating Jay Maddix and Kellen Raeth, and looked to defeat an even more daunting team this time around. The former Champions took the men from Arizona to task, taking advantage of their experience and their in-ring chemistry as a team. But the masked men wouldn't go down so easily, and came back with an array of high-impact double-team maneuvers to even the odds. At the height of their momentum, El Phoenix nailed Dustin Snyder with a cross-body from the top rope, then tagged El Tuscon in. As Tucson looked to duplicate his cousin's success from the top rope, however, he was shoved by Erik Baeden and took a hard fall in the middle of the ring! It was all a groggy Snyder needed to roll on top of El Tucson and cover him for the victory.

The Faction (WCWC Champion Ryan Taylor, “Gentleman” George Michael and Erik Baeden) d. Bolo, Brandon Gatson and Exile by disqualification

After the humiliating beat down the Faction gave Brandon Gatson and Exile the week before in Portland, the WCWC's top three fan favorites banded together to take on three members of the Faction in a six-man tag match. Senior Official “Smilin'” Dave Jackson was assigned to referee the match, but that changed when “Gentleman” George – who faces suspension should he lay his hands on Jackson ever again – ordered Erik Baeden and Ryan Taylor to do the job for him. In need of another referee, Faction ally Jesse Hernandez volunteered to wear the pinstriped shirt for this contest! Despite some shady officiating on Hernandez's part, Bolo, Gatson and Exile did their best to fight the oppressive Faction head-on. However, just when things looked bright for those three, “Gentleman” George used some chicanery to suggest that Gatson had hit the WCWC Champion with a chair while Hernandez wasn't looking! Though it was obvious to Gatson and the rest of the crowd that it was a set-up, Hernandez saw the chair in Gatson's hand and disqualified him and his teammates, awarding the match to the Faction!

After the match, Co-Owner Jeff Manning entered the ring. Just as he began to admonish Hernandez and the Faction for their conniving ways, he was suddenly assaulted by Taylor and Hernandez! As the rest of the Faction kept Bolo, Gatson and Exile at bay, Taylor took a steel chair and wedged Manning's arm into it, then began stomping on the chair repeatedly. Taylor and his mentor took turns stomping away at the chair, which severely injured Manning's arm! Much of the WCWC locker room emptied out to rescue their boss, but the damage had already been done. Pat Kelley – the other WCWC Co-Owner and play-by-play man – then announced that after the heinous actions in the ring, Taylor would be suspended indefinitely and that Hernandez would be banned from the WCWC altogether!

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament Match: Los Arizonans (El Phoenix & El Tucson) d. Jay Maddix & Kellen Raeth

This contest pitted the pair of masked fan favorites against a brand-new team created by manager Brian Zane. El Phoenix and El Tucson impressed the fans right away by tossing their opponents out of the ring early on, then El Phoenix wowed them by nailing an Asai Moonsault onto Maddix, Raeth and Zane all at once! But as the match continued inside the ring, Raeth and Maddix were able to gain an advantage, wearing their opponents down with some impressive double-team moves. As Maddix was gaining control over El Tucson, Zane even got on the apron and wanted to finish Tucson off, but his plan backfired when Tucson reversed an Irish Whip and dropkicked Maddix right into Zane! The brief distraction was all Tucson needed to hit Maddix with the Peyote Drop and score the three-count, advancing him and El Phoenix in the tournament!

Dustin Snyder d. Mike Santiago

This would be the first of two contests of the night pitting two successful WCWC tag teams against each other in singles action. These two wrestlers were no strangers to each other in the ring, as both men had each other's early offense well-scouted. Mike Santiago was looking well for himself during much of the contest, but what he didn't count on was the impact of Erik Baeden, who accompanied his Shoot 2 Kill teammate at ringside. Santiago was able to deflect most of Baeden's attempts at interference, but the double-teaming eventually caught up with him. As the former Lightning Division Champion lifted Snyder, who was on the ring apron, over the top rope to deliver a suplex, Baeden tripped Santiago up and held his leg down as Snyder landed on top of his opponent and got a tainted victory.

Dr. Kliever d. Draven Vargas, Latino Blanco & Patrick Large in a $5,000 Four-Way Dance

Before the match began, it was announced that as a special promotion, one of the WCWC's sponsors was granting the winner of this match a whopping $5,000! The competitors had no time to think early about what they would do with the prize money as they all went after each other in the ring, trying to prove that they were the top star in the 'WC. With Draven Vargas knocked outside the ring, Latino Blanco was looking to take out his other two opponents with a devastating top-rope maneuver. But just before he was about to jump, Dr. Kliever threw Patrick Large into the ring ropes, causing Blanco to lose his balance and fall! Kliever then nailed Large with the Autopsy and got the pinfall victory before Draven could get back into the ring! Though he wasn't specific in saying what he would do with his prize money, Kliever did request that the payment be entirely in singles. Kliever then went on to say that he will make his way back into the WCWC Championship picture soon.

Brandon Gatson d. "Gentleman" George Michael

Earlier in the night, a decree was sent by WCWC Co-Owner Jeff Manning that after the flagrant act of violence perpetrated on Smilin' Dave Jackson back in November, "Gentleman" George would be suspended if he laid his hands on Jackson on this night. That means that Michael would have to keep his cool in his rematch with Brandon Gatson, as Jackson was once again assigned to referee his match. Given the history these two have had in the ring since last summer, it's no surprise the two went all-out once again, each man doing whatever they could to secure a victory. At one point, Michael had Gatson pinned, but then complained to the referee that he thought it was a slow-count. As "Gentleman" George continued to argue with Jackson, Gatson was able to recover and roll his opponent up with a school boy. Jackson, frustrated at his treatment from the former WCWC Champion, then got down and did one of the fastest three-counts in the history of the 'WC, sticking it to George and the Faction! After the match, Michael and WCWC Champion Ryan Taylor stalked an exhausted Gatson, but before they could do anything, Exile came rushing out with a huge mallet and chased the Faction members out of the ring!

Erik Baeden d. Bolo

With Dustin Snyder scoring a pinfall victory over Mike Santiago earlier in the show, it was up to Bolo to even the odds against Snyder's partner, Erik Baeden. Like the earlier match, both wrestlers had their partners at ringside, though this time Snyder was a little more wary of causing any kind of interference on Santiago's watch. Baeden got the advantage early on, locking the former WCWC Champion in a variety of holds and throwing him around the ring with suplexes. But Bolo was able to get his second wind and regain control, taking down Baeden with his arsenal of quick strikes. Just as he was signaling for the Korean Drop to end the match, Snyder got onto the apron to try and distract Bolo, but Santiago sniffed out the scheme and attacked Snyder! But the damage had already been done; Bolo was momentarily distracted by the scuffle, which was all Baeden needed to hit Bolo with an Exploder Suplex to win the match and make Shoot 2 Kill 2-0 on the evening.

WCWC Tag Team Championship Tournament Match: The RockNES Monsters (Johnny Yuma & Johnny Goodtime) d. G-Shock & Jonas Albert Robinson

This match marked the Oregon debut of the RockNES Monsters, a popular new tag team in southern California. With a returning Yuma and his friend, Johnny Goodtime, already winning tag team gold in their home state, it was only natural for them to be selected to participate in the WCWC's Championship tournament. The first obstacles toward claiming WCWC gold came in the form of Lightning Division Champion G-Shock and Jonas Albert Robinson, who made his return to the 'WC after training under Lance Storm in Canada for the past few months. Robinson's new education came into play here in this match, as he and G-Shock worked over the Monsters throughout much of the match. But the two Johnnies would not be deterred, striking their opponents with their fast and deadly double-team attacks. Though G-Shock and Robinson did their best to steal a victory and advance in the tournament, the lightning-quick attack from the RockNES Monsters proved to be too much. After Yuma hit G-Shock with the Otter Drop, Goodtime picked his partner up and threw him down onto a fallen Robinson, then pinned him for the three-count!

WCWC Championship Match: Exile d. Ryan Taylor (Champion) by Disqualification

Though Exile had the size and strength advantage over the champion, he was going to have his hands full with Ryan Taylor, who was accompanied by "Gentleman" George Michael and General Manager JT Allen. Exile showed his strength early in the contest, but within minutes, Michael lured the big man to the outside and struck him in the leg with a steel chair! Rather than throwing the match out, referee Jeff Manning did the next best thing and ejected Michael from the ringside area! The match continued as normal, but Exile was now a sitting duck as Taylor aggressively attacked his injured leg. The Champion spent the majority of the match wearing the challenger down and eliminating his vertical base, grinding his knee into Exile's wounded knee and ankle joints. Despite the assault, Exile was able to fight through the pain and use his brute strength to send Taylor reeling. Even on one good leg, Exile was able to lift the Champion over his head and drive him down with a huge sit-down powerbomb! Just when it looked like we would have a new champion, though, JT Allen pulled Manning out of the ring just as he was about to hit the mat a third time! A frustrated Manning had no choice but to disqualify Taylor due to Allen's interference. Exile won the match, but didn't win the title due to the DQ. But before the ring announcer could even finish his declaration, the rest of the Faction - George Michael, Dustin Snyder and Erik Baeden - rushed out and began to all take turns clobbering Exile! Brandon Gatson came out to try and help his friend, but the two were simply outnumbered and were completely obliterated by the Faction. How will this tandem try and respond to this humiliating assault in Springfield on the 24th
